The death of a mother, the hope for a child

This week we mourn the lost of a single mother we all felt we knew and loved. I grew up thinking Whitney had the best female voice ever. I love her music.

When death comes it awakens our hearts to the reality of life and our inability to hold on past our time. So many wonderful words have been spoken (not focusing on negative), from fans all over the world, other celebs, etc.

But as a single mother, I can help but think about her daughter, Bobbie Kristina.

How the death of her mom must be impacting her life.  It’s hard to imagine having to share your parent with the world. As an only child, she has no other sibling to share the pain in her heart.  As the parent of one child, I know the responsibility they feel for a parent. My son is always telling me how he wants to take care of me. Children of single parents share a bond with their parents that can only be described as indescribable.

My hope for Bobbie Kristina is that she can pass through this place by remembering her mother’s love. May those who love her be mindful of her during this time of loss. Our children deserve to see us live full lives. They deserve the space to grow-up in environments which give them every opportunity to be successful.

As parents we must know that everything we do in life or in death has an impact on our children.

Let’s not for get about the children. Let us pray Bobbie Kristina finds her way through this time. Let’s pray she becomes the great woman she is intended to be.

Most of all pray for your children that they become everything life intends for them to be.

They deserve it and so do you!

Blessings.
